GENERAL DESCRIPTION: BLUE-KOTE will cure to a tough protective plastic film, which can be easily peeled off by hand when no longer required. BLUE-KOTE is a water based liquid coating that can be applied by airless spray, conventional air spray (may require thinning with water), or by brush or roller. Clean up BLUE-KOTE as you would with other water based paints. Clean up with water. Primary used to protect fibreglass parts and moulds. Protects boat decks, hulls, hull liners, tubs, showers, plastic parts and most non-porous surfaces from paint, plaster, sealants, resins, polyurethane foam and abrasives during construction, storage, assembly, transportation and repair. BLUE-KOTE has been used to protect the following surfaces: Gel coat, Acrylic, Polycarbonate, Glass, Aluminum and Stainless Steel. Airless spray equipment capable of generating a fluid pressure of 2000-2500 pounds. Select the tip size suitable for your application and equipment capabilities. Adjust the fluid pressure to achieve proper atomization and spray pattern BRUSH AND ROLLER APPLICATION Brush or poll on as heavy a coat as possible moving in one direction and allow to dry. A Second coat may be required. Apply the second coat perpendicular to the first to obtain a strong, uniform film. PRODUCT PRECAUTIONS

DO NOT allow product to freeze. Frozen product cannot be rejuvenated and will not function properly.
DO NOT apply to surfaces other than those specifically noted prior to thoroughly testing.
DO NOT apply the coating too thin. This will result in a weak discontinuous film, which will be difficult to remove and offer no protection.
DO NOT apply this product in the rain, moisture or freezing temperatures before it can fully cure.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Blue-Kote R-18 is a water based, air or forced dry, hand peel-able, U.V. resistant, temporary protective coating. When applied to most non-porous surfaces (glass, porcelain, fiberglass, gel coat, aluminum and stainless steel) the coating provides protection from abuse. Do not use R-18 on acrylic due to high adhesion R-18 minimises surface damage during assembly, rigging, shipment, installation, and subsequent construction or rehab work. Paint, sealants, abrasives and chemicals are kept away from protective surface. Just prior to final inspection, the coating is easily peeled from the surface. In addition to forming an extremely tough film R-18 exhibits relitevly quick dry times and good water resistance when fully cured. PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS APPEARANCE Blue-Kote paint is a viscous light blue liquid. COVERAGE (SQ. FT/MIL OF DRY FILM/GALLON): 786, POUNDS PER GALLON: 8.9 + 0.2., COATING V.O.C., (EPA Method 24): 0 G/L or 0.0 Lb/Gallon. STORAGE LIFE (IN CLOSED CONTAINER): 6 Mo. at recommended temps. MINIMUM FILM FORMING TEMPERATURE: 50 degrees F. PRODUCT PACKAGING R-18 is supplied ready to use for roll-on, brush,air or airless spray application in 1 gallon pails (4 per case), 5 gallon pails, or 55 gallon drums. STORAGE Store at temperatures above 50 degrees F. and below 110 degrees F. RECOMMENDED DRY THICKNESS 4 to 8 mils. CURE CYCLE Air cure time will vary depending on wet film thickness and atmospheric conditions (temperature, air velocity, and relative humidity). Optimizing these conditions will decrease dry times. Consult your product representative for further information PRODUCT USE INSTRUCTIONS GENERAL: The following directions and recommendations are intended to serve as a guide and may require modification to meet local conditions. No Mixing required. Use as received. Do not thin. The intended substrate must be clean and dry to accept the protective coating properly. Loose debris, or dust, or other contamination may degrade product effectiveness and peel-ability. AIRLESS SPRAY APPLICATION Airless spray equipment capable of generating a fluid pressure of 2000-2500#. Select a tip size suitable for your application and equipment capabilities. Use with adequate ventilation.
DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. Avoid prolonged contact with skin. While spraying, wear a suitable respirator with an ammonia cartridge to prevent inhalation of over spray and vapors.

DO NOT apply the coating over small, intricate or delicate parts. These areas should be masked with plastic film or tape as the coating may be difficult to remove.

Blue-Kote Preservation Tape Contain UV inhibitors for long term storage. Product will not leave adhesive residue if applied directly to fiberglass, paint, graphics, etc. Hull preservation tape and is used for taping edges of shrink wrap to a boat's hull. It has a polyethylene film and rubber based adhesive. UV protected for prolonged expose to sunlight. Preservation tape features residue free removal from most surfaces. Preservation Tape is used to seam shrink wrap film sheeting together, patch holes in the shrink wrap, secure the wrap, and to hold doors in place. Blue-Kote Engline Cowl film is a pressure sensitive rubber adhesive coated UV stabilized polyolefin masking film. Engine cowl film is designed for the protection of engine cowl finishes during rigging, service and under shrink wrap covers during transportation to prevent chafing and scratching to the painted surfaces. This film can be left on for 30-45 days without transfer of adhesive to the substrate Cowl film is also used to protect acrylic surfaces from scratching and scuffs.
